Before family or friends will be able to visit the hospital, they will have a meeting with the relevant forensic network counsellor. The object of this meeting will be to enable family and friends to familiarise themselves with the hospital and to explain the internal rules in place at the hospital to them. Depending on the stage of treatment applicable, supervised and unsupervised visits are possible.
Where supervised visits are concerned, someone from group management or the forensic network counsellor will be present. In the case of unsupervised visits, the patient will receive his visitors within the walls of the hospital, without supervision. Patients who have already progressed further with their treatment may also have unsupervised visits in their apartment. This means that they will be able to receive visitors in the internal rented flat. This will enable them to spend more than the standard visiting times with their partners and/or children. Requests for unsupervised visits of this nature in the flat will be carefully considered by group management and the treatment team.
